Teaching English with 6 bricks!
Course Overview
Through fun and short activities with sets of LEGO® DUPLO® bricks in six bright colours, children can practice their memory, movement, creativity and more. When children are engaged and challenged in playful ways, children practice skills for learning including language, problem solving, and collaboration.
Course Objectives
Introducing participants to the concept of teaching with LEGO Bricks
Learning Outcomes
Plan and execute various activities using 6 LEGO bricks Facilitate learning with the use of 6 LEGO Bricks Guide students to try to solve problems on their own Ask facilitating questions Provide students with choices to ensure an active role in completing the challenges
Course Procedures
The session will provide examples and insight into teaching through play. Participants will first experience what the activities are like through a student's eyes and then follow up with a planning session. Participants will then try out the activities on the other participants.
Assessment Procedure
Participants will deliver a short presentation or lesson segment at the session. Effectiveness will be monitored through observation and peer feedback.
